My PIC BASIC board...
Here is my PIC board. I bought this as a part of dev-kit in Akihabara in Japan. This kit came with PIC-BASIC which is the software that compiles and loads the program to the processor. The kit also came with an lcd panel which can be controlled by the processor to display messages.
If you are into stuff like this and can get around in Japan, you should definitely visit Akihabara.
It literally is an electric town; most of the buildings (about 80%) are dedicated to electronic stores. They have everything there from refrigerators and speaker systems to electronic parts, kits and computer parts. A couple of years ago all of the buildings used to be electronics stores, but recently the anime addicts have been taking over; now, most of the buildings surrounding the train station have to do with anime. Because of this all of the electronics stores have been pushed away to the outer areas of the city. They need to be stopped...
I often get lost looking for the really good stores like Akizuki; I wouldn't be wrong if I said they were hiding. They are quite far away from the train station.
